Hello! Welcome back or just welcome if it's your first time stopping by. A few days ago my daughters teacher sent an email asking if parents could bring in a foldable tent to help support a camp out or rather a camp in because they camped in versus outside. I was thinking "do you think it's a great idea to take this tent out since you literally only popped it open once and that was at the store before you bought it and a stranger and yourself put it back in the bag it came with"? But I decided to go ahead and send the tent in anyway. At the end of the day the teacher says we couldn't figure out how to close your tent so can you come get it from the classroom? I said ok sure! But the entire time I'm thinking how in the world can I close this tent since it's been close to a year since I had opened it?

Well you guessed right! I was in the classroom on my hands and knees drenched in sweat trying to close the tent and I couldn't! After a few minutes I try to YouTube a video on how to close the tent which wasn't helping. After that I said ok, we're going to take the tent as is and I'll figure it out later. At this point I have left the classroom and I have now walked in the main office asking "does anyone know how to fold a tent"? And everyone is like girl no, we don't. So in the middle of the main office here I am on my hands and knees again trying to close this tent and another time I'm like ok I'll figure this out later. Later meant me trying again at not 1 but 2 different spots outside of the school before going home.

At the second location outside the wind is winding! I'm trying to walk and the tent is literally trying to fly open! I then was at the crosswalk and I see a police officer flash his lights to get the cars to stop so that we can cross. After we get across the street I'm thinking ok he's going to help me get this tent closed! Yeah think again! I'm now at my trunk trying to get the tent in the back of the van but the wind is making this an impossible task!

Finally after I say some curse words in my head I say "lord, please help me with this tent". Almost instantly my hands knew what to do to close the tent and the anger left my body in an instant.

I apologized for being short with my daughter and repented for cursing in my head. After allllllllllllll of this the lesson that I learned is that I simply could not because I did not ask! How often do we tell our children "tell me when you need help" and then they suffer in silence and they don't ask us for help? I would say it happens almost daily in my house. It's the same thing with Jesus! Had I relied on his strength and not my own I could have been less frustrated and sweaty!

This read was to encourage you to ask for help before you get frustrated and sweaty and gross! God is an on time God and he will always show up! I pray that this message gets to the people that

need to see it and that they share it with someone else that needs it!

As always here is a scripture tying back to what I learned.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Philippians 4:13 NKJV

Said another way

I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me.

Philippians 4:13 GNT

FYI, it is a beautiful tent here is a picture. It wasn't the tents fault that I didn't understand the instructions that came with it.
